Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Foundation
The Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Foundation (CFAF) is a NJ non-profit organization established in March 2004. The mission of the CFAF is to increase public awareness of Cystic Fibrosis. The foundation works with organizations that provide valuable medical research towards finding a cure. The CFAF supports groups that provide a better quality of life for those afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis.
CentraState Healthcare Foundation
Since its incorporation in 1981, the CentraState Healthcare Foundation's mission has been to serve as the link between the community and its hospital. Through its volunteer and contribution opportunities, the Foundation offers residents and businesses a way to become stakeholders in their hospital. Since we have no shareholders or other ownership interests, we are a true partner with the community.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
The mission of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is to improve the health and health care of all Americans. Our goal is clear: To help Americans lead healthier lives and get the care they need.
Daniel Patrick Ryan Foundation
The Daniel P. Ryan Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in 1995 in loving memory of Danny by his family and friends. He was an amazing son, brother and friend, who succumbed to Leukemia after a three-year battle. He was very passionate about many things in life and was always willing to help those in a time of struggle. The foundation is our way to continue his wonderful loving spirit for life.
Embrace Kids Foundation
Since 1991, Embrace Kids Foundation (formerly The Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders) has existed to support the non-medical needs of kids with cancer or a blood disorder. Founded by a small group of volunteers, the charity spends over $1 million a year to fulfill its mission. Our programs and support services are offered to patient families under care at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, and Jersey Shore University Medical Center. However, we are not funded by these institutions. Rather, we are an independent organization providing the resources that help support families and hospital-based programs for the child-patients that would not be available otherwise.
Operation Homefront – New York/New Jersey
Operation Homefront’s mission is to provide emergency and morale assistance for our troops, the families they leave behind, and for wounded warriors when they return home. Examples of assistance provided by Operation Homefront include rent, food, travel and car expenses. In addition, Operation Homefront supports service members and their families in need of financial assistance for medical treatment and/or therapy of conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
A nonprofit 501(c)(3), Operation Homefront leads more than 4,500 volunteers in 30 chapters nationwide and has met more than 105,000 needs of military families. Operation Homefront also hosts the Web community, Operation Homefront Online, at www.HomefrontOnline.com.
FNA Family Assistance Program
Serious, chronic illness is expensive. On top of the stress of care and treatment, families must also deal with the financial hardship that, unfortunately, can accompany the experience. Each year we focus our efforts on families that need help with the expense of a family member’s health care. We realize that these expenses — or the illness itself — can also make it hard for a family to keep up with day-to-day expenses associated with having a home and keeping it warm.
Each year our board reviews funding requests from organizations that benefit people in the community with serious chronic and debilitating diseases. We select one to receive proceeds of our annual fundraising events.
We also help families in need of help with medical costs for a family member. Details and an application for assistance are available on the Family Assistance page.
