Who We Are

FNA Board of Directors

Jeff Hennessy (President) is President, CEO of HMP Communications Holdings, LLC, producing educational products and publications for clinicians. For more than 20 years, he has worked directly with doctors, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and nurse practitioners to provide relevant, top-of-mind resources. He founded Princeton Media Associates, LLC, (PMA) a medical media company that created well-respected educational healthcare brands, including CORE (The Coalition of Rheumatology Educators), Managed Care First Report, and The Princeton Teleconference Series. Jeff also developed The American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC). FNA has raised over $170,000.

Jill Hennessy (Vice President) is a stay at home mom, raising 4 children. She and husband Jeff Hennessy have lived in the Central New Jersey community for 20 years, and together they have answered a call to contribute to the community. She is especially passionate about supporting families coping with pediatric illnesses. She would like to see FNA continue to grow in its fundraising efforts in order to provide assistance to many more families.

Christopher Ciraulo is Vice President, Group Publisher of HMP Communications, LLC. For more than 20 years, he has worked in healthcare and for the past ten years he has worked directly with doctors, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and nurse practitioners to provide relevant, top-of-mind resources. Chris also was the founding publisher of First Report – Managed Care®, a medical journal brand that services the pharmacy (managed care) marketplace.

Nick Lombardi is the Director of Grant Development for the North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC, and he currently serves as Executive Director of Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Foundation. A Central New Jersey resident for 11 years, Nick became involved in FNA when the Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Foundation was chosen as the beneficiary of the first FNA 5K Run/1-Mile Walk. He wants to see FNA continue to make a difference in our community and have an impact on people who are in need of assistance.

Frank Miller, III is the President of Eighteen Glass Company. An East Brunswick native, he saw FNA as an opportunity to benefit the community by supporting a variety of people and causes. Frank would like to see FNA expand to more annual events that will raise the organization’s visibility and fundraising capabilities. Toward fulfillment of this goal, FNA is adding an annual golf tournament in 2010!

Ron Schlegel is the CEO of Container Research Corporation. He has been a member of the Central New Jersey community for 12 years and has a history of community involvement. In addition to his work with FNA, he has worked as a volunteer with the administration of the Asbury Park School District to implement Malcolm Baldridge Quality Principles. FNA appealed to Ron because it is focused solely on helping others. “I think being part of an organization that has such a simple but worth cause helps me to pay attention to what life is really all about,” he says. He wants to help FNA assist families faced with the unimaginable challenges of debilitating disease.

Jim Gregory is Vice President and Transaction Counsel for Gramercy Capital Corp., a publicly traded commercial real estate finance and property investment company. Jim is primarily responsible for the company’s legal affairs relating to restructurings of troubled loan assets. Prior to joining Gramercy in 2008, Jim was a Special Counsel in Thacher Proffitt & Wood’s New York office, where he concentrated his practice predominantly in the area of commercial mortgage loan origination. He is an active volunteer in the Millstone Township community, particularly with children. He finds much of his motivation in seeing FNA succeed by honoring the memory of his niece, Emily, who succumbed to pediatric cancer in 2001.

Frank Guerino is a Research Program Director for Intervet/Schering-Plough, the Animal Health Division of Merck & Co. Inc.   He has lived in Central New Jersey for the past 20 years.  During this time, he has been active volunteer for several youth and community organizations.  He has been especially active in the Knights of Columbus and their charities which benefit the mentally disabled and those in need of food.  Frank is grateful for the opportunities and good health that he and his family have enjoyed and believes that FNA provides a great avenue to help those that have not been as fortunate.

Jim Matera has been living in Monroe Township since 1970 and is involved in many activities including the Knights of Columbus, Pastoral Council of Immaculate Conception in Spotswood, and Spectrum for Living. His professional life centers around the care of kidney patients as a practicing nephrologist, with a special interest in dialysis therapies. He has served as Chief of Staff of CentraState Medical Center since 2009, after serving as Chief of Internal Medicine since 2000. He is married with 2 children and enjoys golfing, reading and gourmet cooking. He hopes to bring these attributes to the FNA, to support their mission and goals in the community.
